How to Make Silk Flowers Float: It's Easier than You Think

how to make silk flowers floatMost people have no idea how to make silk flowers float, but it is so easy you won't believe it. Instead of placing the flower stems in a vase you need to cut off the stems from the bloom. Then fill a glass bowl or vase with water and just put the bloom on top of the water and it will float. You instantly have floating flowers to wow your guests.

Some other things you can do to give it a little more pizazz is to add dye to the water to give it a color to go with the blooms. You can also dazzle your guests by adding floating flowers to your punch bowl.

I tried this repeatedly with no success. The silk flowers sunk everytime. Real flowers float but silk ones absorb water and sink.
